Most people who record themselves do the same two things badly: they look away from the lens to read their notes, or they memorise the lines and lose their words on take seven. A teleprompter fixes the first, and a good script fixes the second. Neither needs a studio.
We built Recaloo around one idea: put the words where your eyes already are, and keep the rest out of the way. You write one text with topics, points and full lines. You read it as topics when you know the subject, as bullets when you want a nudge, or word for word when it has to be exact. The studio then does what a small studio does: a layout, a background, your slides on stage, a pen, and a take that is saved as you go.
What it is, and what it is not#
Recaloo is a web app for recording yourself with a teleprompter, over your camera or your screen. It records in your browser and keeps the take when you say so. It does not edit your takes, and it does not change your face or make a voice. Your own AI, Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, can write a script and caption your screenshots and it hands you a link: recording needs a camera and a person.
